Our customers highly value the expertise, professionalism and passion that have driven Ticero since its inception in 2003.
We belong to a dynamic profession that is constantly changing, but our core focus remains the same. We are proud of what we do, and we approach our work with enthusiasm and dedication.
Crossing language barriers isn’t just about taking words in one language and converting them into another. It’s about conveying a message in a whole new cultural, technical and legal context.

The Ticero team is composed of experienced translation professionals who translate exclusively into their mother tongue. Producing a quality translation requires much more than fluency in another language. A high level of expertise is needed to grasp the subtle nuances of a text and to produce a translation that is clear, precise and accurate. All our translators are proficient in specific subject fields and language pairs.
We offer a comprehensive range of language services for companies and organizations with a global outlook. Ticero has extensive experience in French-German translation, and is a member of the French-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the French-Austrian Chamber of Commerce.
Best practices for our profession have been developed by recognized professional bodies (these include the French and German professional associations of translators and interpreters). Ticero complies with all these guidelines in its commitment to maintain a high level of professionalism and expertise.
Ticero takes its social responsibility seriously. It is a member of Actradis (Agir Contre le TRAvail DISsimulé), a French platform which campaigns against undeclared work.
Ticero is fully equipped with the latest translation software (translation memories, terminology databases, etc.), but never uses machine translation. No machine translation tool can ever replace a professional translator.
Some examples of machine translation:
la plus grande clôture du monde est australienne: most of the world is closing Australian
la côte est découpée: the coast is cut
photographier un ours: shoot a bear
tenir la jambe: to hold the leg
Ticero compiles its own terminology databases and specialized glossaries and these require the expertise of a competent translator when it comes to choosing the appropriate terms.
Some examples of multiple translations:
voyant: indicator light, LED, clairvoyant
cadre: scope, framework, executive
amortir: depreciate, write off, redeem, absorb
prise: grip, socket, catch (fishing), setting (concrete), throw (judo)
